A vintage Schwinn High Sierra all-terrain bike, tuned and ready for mashing around town, exploring single track, or cruising around with the family. Made in the mid 1980's, this retro machine uses a 4130 cro-moly frame, with fastback seatstays, mounts for a rear rack, and Suntour forged dropouts with axle adjusters. Bullmoose handlebar is classic OG mountain bike, mounted up with original grips. Drivetrain uses Suntour retro friction thumb shifters, routed with new cables and housings to Suntour Mountech derailleurs, Sugino triple cranks, Shimano pedals, and a new chain. Dia Compe brake levers and cantilever brakes also use new cables and housings. Sansin high flange bolt-on hubs with Araya aluminum 26" rims wrapped in a city-friendly Continental Town & Country tire. Avocet Touring saddle with quick release slider seat guts. Professionally dialed in and set up for duty once more.
